it may not be a huge step up, detroit -> chicago, but at least people will care about the game!

I'm not a fan of taking a wr that early, can find better value in the late rounds

packers found the corner they wanted late - hes a bit of a project but i'm okay with it because they have the patience to wait for him to be a starter on D

here is my view.
management sees cutlers contract, but also the potential to actually be a better than average qb (and the part no one wants to acknowledge is the part about finding someone equal or better to replace cutler) . they realize we have 1-2 years left to make cuter work, otherwise we cut and run (realistically this could happen end of this year). so giving him the tools to succeed or fail one last time is the most immediate question the organization has. we can fill in defense and o-line the rest of this draft and next draft.

we saw no other qb possibility this year, and no one is going to offer at least a 3rd rounder for cutler to at least make a trade feasible for us until he proves he is more than a turnover machine. im guessing the team insiders realize just how dysfunctional tressman had the bears last year, and the hope is fox and a better structure/environment will at the very least lead to a cutler that plays like a seasoned veteran and not a confused rookie.

im shocked we didnt take beasley. white must have really impressed the team. and combined with the teams need to figure out if cutler is the qb for the next 4 years or not they passed on what looks like a great lb in an effort to solve the cutler riddle.

4th rd a back up rb. odd. this must be a case of "pick the best available" and not "pick what we need".

well, we at least got a bit of everything, but i dont feel like we addressed our defense at all. maybe the bears really are a better team then we played under tressman and fox sees talent where tressman squandered it.

I'm very happy with day 3. With the corner back position addressed, we get a non flashy but solid 3 down ilb prospect who has a nose for the ball in jack Ryan (two first names always a plus) and trade up to get a good developmental project qb in Brett Hundley who Mccarthy loves in the 5th round at excellent value. Combine that with immediate special teams contributors and a quick twitch de and I'm happy that we made our roster better. This draft has potential, but a lot relies on these corners to pan out at the NFL level

brady suspended 4 games. pats #1 and #4 picks taken. they should have given them a 1 year death sentence and suspended brady for a year unless he hands over his phone/e-mails

they shouldnt let him appeal either, cant come clean after the punishment is handed out and expect for it to be reduced

gotta be strict.

/e i think that they need to find out the truth, as well. if brady was guilty, then give him 4 games, 8 games, a year, whatever. but if the only way to know that is to have him hand over his personal communication info and cooperate in the investigation, then you need to force him to do it. so offer a conditional ban until he hands it over.

if he is innocent, then he shouldn't be banned any games

if brady misses the first four games, against Pitt, Buffalo, Jax and Dallas, they could easily be 1-3.

you are fucking nuts if you think this is worth 25% of the season when woman beating is 2 games. a corked bat, which is equatable (actually its miles above this ridiculous psi shit) got sosa 8 games.
child beater got a sseason, and you want psigate to be similar? crazy
doping is 4 games, you think 1 psi should be equatable? nuts

ofc he knows, ofc he wants them on the low end. and if one was below the limit, okay. they already lost 2 draft picks. this is totally blown out of proportion.

i view purposely violating the rules as a bigger deal than a pot charge, domestic violence, or any other non-football crime. personally, the NFL shouldn't be involved in sentencing players to punishments outside of the game - that's for the judicial system to decide. If the teams choose to punish players for their conduct off the field, fine. in terms of cheating, which i view brady as a cheater, i think the punishment should be severe and of the highest severity. i'm not talking about baseball, but a baseball player purposely cheating is just as bad. just because baseball doesn't issue high punishments for corked bats (they have a stronger players union that probably is the reason for this), doesn't mean that the NFL should condone tampering with footballs. i view the 4 game suspension for brady and the loss of draft picks as the NFL saying they don't condone it, but they tolerate it which isn't 100% ok with me. one team shouldn't have a wildly lower fumbling rate than all other teams becaue they consistently deflate their balls to the point of it being squishy and altering the grip strength necessary to secure a football.

then pumping noise into the stadium should lead to a teams 8 game forfeiture next year for all home games. mannings career is tainted forever because his team had a constant noise advantage.

/similar logic

I completely agree. Fake crowd noise is bull. If your fans can't make it then you shouldn't get the advantage

tampering with footballs is pretty og;dc
lieing during an investigation is what warrants loss of draft pix

my new outlook:

the fact that just as many people are saying the punishment is too harsh as those that think its too lenient means that its a fair punishment.

packers win not because of the game score, but because they have two corners that can play in ladarius gunter and quinten rollins
