for john fox to get a 3-4 to work you need a good nose tackle and a good olb. they didnt have the olb, and now they do. if eddie goldman ends up making a good year 1 to year 2 jump the bears D could finally be back on track

i like what the bears did. and with last years first never playing a down we effectively have 2 first round picks this year. this draft gave us some much needed depth and maybe some actual skill on the defensive front 7.

heres to hoping white has a good year. fantasy football sleeper with top 20 potential probably drafted later than the 10th round

Packers' offense is bad, and its because of Aaron Rodgers. Guy is just throwing with bad mechanics, making poor decisions, bailing from the pocket way too early, and not putting the ball where it needs to be. Hes gotta get his mojo back. He's still the smartest QB in football, but for some reason hes lost his confidence or something, and simply looks afraid to take a hit. Ironically his aversion to putting the ball in a risky spot is causing turnovers.

I'm not saying the world is falling, I think this Packers roster, including defense, is good - really good. Rodgers needs to just get "it" back. He cant play like he has the past 10 months and expect to go deep into the playoffs.

edit: word choice

trestman left the team in shambles. zero depth. other than long, im not sure he even had a good draft pick. the offseason injuries to our o line too...this is really the beginning of the rebuild, so things will be ugly.

packers looked a little better, still concerned about their offense until they do it against a good team. next best test will be giants, probably

my stepdad helps my mom round out her team, but she does most of the draft. rick just points out if she is way wrong. but my mom does love sports, she knows more than many.

I know that Ryan has more yards and a better passer rating, and Brady had amazing numbers for only 12 games and his team is a #1 seed, but hows this stat for MVP consideration?:

Brady scored 28/51 NE touchdowns, 54.90%
Ryan scored 38/63 ATL touchdowns, 60.31%
Rodgers scored 44/51 GB touchdowns, 86.27%

if that doesn't convince you, how about rallying your team from 4-6 to 10-6 and a division win? With no turnovers over that span?

on the same token, the packers only let rodgers be a part of tds. im fairly certain its either a part of his contract, or just him and mccarthy have a thing together post game.

Well, by that note mvp is mvp for 16 games not 12. so Brady should be out of the discussion.

Its not like Rodgers was bad the first 10 games, he was still statistically awesome, just not winning. Its gotta be Matt Ryan otherwise and Id be happy with him as MVP.

brady has "the best" curse. he could win it every year. rodgers is the smallest of steps behind imo.

im all for matt winning. he deserves it.

I do think Brady has a harder time with MVP because of Belichick and the rosters / player development of that organization. Belichick has a hard time with coach of the year because having Brady discounts him. I also have a problem with coach of the year voting because it always seems to be a coach that took a team with a terrible record and the next year made the playoffs. IMO the best coaches don't have bad seasons so they have nothing to turn around that drastically.
