that means they discuss what the lecture was about for more understanding.
but we didnt have classes on monday so i didnt have a lecture yet.

The first day of every course I've had at my university has always been just going for syllabus we could view online instead of coming to listening to a professor read it to us...
No one ever goes to the first day of a lecture course. Labs are sometimes different, though.
