ACT3 merc will protect you VS physicle dmg in CS but he can't help you @ infector
HOT SPURS twice upped OWNZ giving you chance for 90 fire ressits with Coviction + lower resists
water walks are also good + 5 max fire + 15 dex + 6X life uped = 170+ def

OK i tell you how IM work:
your merc make 1000 DMG he hit and recieve back his dmg
after that come dmg reduce on merc in your case 8% only with 18 LL
about LL now it's not exactly 18% VS every monster VS undead it work crappy
better would be gaze + shaft better VS IM but less ressi

Act 3 merc cast frozen armor ( he will have 7-8 k defence, while act5 barb got 4k)
Act 3 merc will have 90 all ressi even with lower resists and will have 90 fire ressi with lower resists + convistion Undead at CS
he will have also 45 to 50 DR (50 is max).
Overview for ACt3 merc:
IM doesn't hurt him
90 all ressi
7-8 k def
45-50% DR
Sanctuary
3.3k life with good bo
Overview for act5
More life yes, true
Less defence
Less DR
Less ressi
Die fast with IM

setup with corrections above will give you 40% more dmg, 40% faster kill 40% less chance to hit you
torch anni life fir ressi SCs LCs, Hoz + 1 PC skill = 14 k dmg

to handle whatever you need to handle. Your charm priority is to stack fire resist, followed by life. My hammerdin has 4042 life with self BO and max fire resist after LR / 50 after conviction. Conviction Aura Infector of Souls is really the only time I have to use juv pots. |
I got ~4500 life and i use redemption after i kill infector he doesn't hurt me even with conviction + cursed same time with lower ressi !!! 90 fire ressi are my max.
