Weyerbacher's blithering idiot barleywine aged in bourbon barrels

adam approves, so ill be trying it shortly after i finish this first rogue (was gonna wait till the weekend but now im extra curious)

will be my first barleywine

clearly that there is anyone wrong with it but adam what is your huge hard on for things aged in wood of any type

it adds a subtle earthy texture to the brews

i have no idea, it has been this fucking strange attraction i have had for like a year now. i think its just so weird that something aged in oak has a chemical reaction that creates subtle vanilla flavors and mellows even the most brutal beers out and makes them dangerously drinkable.

i have to hold myself back from clearly aging all of my homebrew on cubes, chips or oak spirals...its a sick addiction.

this barleywine doesnt taste like anything ive had before

it goes down so smooth its like its clearly even beer (which is scary)

it also tastes kind of like it could almost be liquor

i keep taking another sip of the glass to figure out what the hell is going on, and have basically drank 6oz of 11% beer in 1 minute

tl;dr its dangerously good
