Tn8's purchases Cellar Rats Rat Tail Ale. (Yes, I saw it and thought of my boys and bought)

And Dogfishhead Midas Touch.

Just finished the Rat Tail Ale. No, we're good after this sixer.

Bout to go into the Midas Touch.

Midas tastes more like cheap wine than it does a complex beer. I'm really trying to understand how people like this.

"somewhere between wine and mead"
i thought it was uniquely good tbh

The first one almost got dumped out. 2 drank last night, was better.

Beer 4 is pretty good tonight. I am still clearly sure I'd ever buy again tho.

well i guess im convinced i only like smoke as a background flavor, or just clearly the main flavor. its taken me the better part of 2 hours to finish this bottle, albeit a big bottle!
anyway, thanks a ton for getting to try this, i can the quality beer behind the smoke, its just clearly my thing.

sorry man. i wish you would have liked it. i guess i know for the future. smokey beer is an aquired thing. the first couple i had were clearly the type of thing id even want to have a full pint of, let alone a growler. but they have grown on me and i get thirsty for smoked beers from time to time now

geting back to this... scherlenka (spelled wrong) is like an 8+ out of 10. instead of only part of te grain being smoked, all of it is. as a reference, like 15% of the grain was smoked in the beer i sent you

To be honest I haven't. I can't give you a logical reason, other than aside from OSU I hate all things Columbus. (Family excluded ofc). I can sample this weekend and let you know what I find to be appealing, or we can do whatever you want great lakes wise.

My personal favorites are Octoberfest, Nosteratu, Edmund Fitzgerald, and Blackout Stout.

Also if you like Thirsty Dog I highly recommend Siberian Night.
