bought a couple new books 2day =]
starting off with seneca on the shortness of life
finished it (only ~30 pages long)
great stuff.
main point = Time is the most valuable resource we have, and people waste it. Life is long enough, but we shorten it by dedicating time to temporary pleasures and vices. Also, service for others in exchange for money/glory/fame is a wasteful pursuit. A man who spends his life building wealth will die begging for 1 more hour on earth, while a man who spends his life in service of himself (by studying philosophy, according to sencea), dies content and at peace, for he has truly lived.
