1. we need to edit the map rotation to get rid of some of the shitty maps that make everyone leave, if someone tells me what cfg file this is in i can change it
2. need to change the voting so it doesnt include every single best friend map, getting 7 shitty options = bad
3. we could always "change format" and do some 24/7 map to attract people for a week or something and then change it

People seem to like Orange_X, toy fort elite, and a few others i cannot think of at the moment...but i agree we should have a smaller set of maps possible to vote on

suggested 5 map rotation:

1. cp_orange_x
2. cp_toy_fort_elite
3. ctf_mach4
4. cp_iceworld_beta_v2
5. cp_lolert

warpath @ 32 is amazing. though not full it's just too big.

IMO any map with 32 people would be amazing.

I downloaded a ton of extra maps last night to test. I think some of them have decent potential. But the problem with putting different maps on the server is that not everyone is patient enough to wait and download them.

we just need to pick like 5 maps (too many?), do a heavy rotation, find which attracts the most, and maybe even talk to the players ingame.

I also need to learn this. Hell, we all need to learn this. Mac set it up, but we should be able to maintain it.

its pretty much all self explanatory in the config files on the ftp
and dont give any one else the password for ftp so they can download the maps, they will be able to download directly from dc site soon enough, the ftp has all the server info, nn best friend people looking through it

I used to know how to run servers back when I played all the time, when I get my new setup running I'll figure it all out, hopefully it's like riding a bike

Just let me know what the final rotation should be and I'll do it. As far as the votes go it's best friend and can only be best friend or the same 2-7 maps over and over.
