Ultra vouch

The part where it can hit enemy fireballs back at the monsters was just brutal.

From the looks of it Wizard/Monk are the only 2 classes worth playing.

Barbarian/Necromaner fanboy here.

All of the classes look pretty sweet so far IMO.

I think the witch doctor looks pretty cool, but I kind of don't like it.

Making me kind of wonder.

They have to inclue a ranged char and a healing type char.

Maybe ranged type class that is healing based.

There was really no healer in D2, it's not like WoW is where you have to work together on anything, it was all rejuv based.

I would imagine an Amazon type at some point though.

Well considering Paladin became god.

But more then likely the next class has to be ranged.

Paladins were always good, just under utilized in Classic.

I would like to see a coop oriented game play, IE we need a healer, but that's too far into the WoW faggotry for a smash and grab game.

I really fucking hope they don't ever allow all classes to teleport. A teleport charge item, cool, free teleporting for all classes, GTFO.

Engima ruined d2.

I think they said on blizzcon that runewords are not going to exist. And they are just going to focus on the runes more themselves.

runewords dont exist, runes dont exist as you know them

runes are ways to modify existing skills, such as extending range, damage, specific effects of a skill

uniques will be a way the only way to get some non-traditional stats on an item, such as an amulet with armor, but uniques will not be the focus

randomly spawning prefix/suffix rare (yellow) items will be the end game itemization for most everyone

Rare items being the best type just like classic. I like it.

But from all the videos i've seen, looks like a great PvM game and not so much PvP. But dunno.

monk was cool, took me about 15 of the 20 minutes to remember how to control a character like it was still the year 2000. i hope they provide an option to wasd it, but it was still fucking cool to play d3, almost got one level in too lol (started at level 6 but with a random assortment of like 4 skills for a teaser

runewords were solely to use up the duped runes that were in overabundance, or to give them a use other than currency. they still ruined the game, and made it all about being way too powerful.

1.10+ runewords, ya
stuff like lionheart [etc] were super n1 for leveling though, when the game was played the correct way

d3 just looks cool, it remains to be seen the level of difficulty they add, which is directly proportional to my interest level past the initial precum

Either way you would be a faggot. You are playing d2.

The only way you can justify playing it, is if it resets and you play it to make fg or just to have legit fun because that is the only time you can have fun at the game.

ive had legit fun on d2 after the past 3 or so ladder resets
it lasts around 8 hours, or by the time we reach the end of nightmare or so

which is why i really hope d3 is about the actual gameplay instead on focusing on gearing characters for end-game/pvp who wont even experience the leveling themselves

which is why i really hope d3 is about the actual gameplay instead on focusing on gearing characters for end-game/pvp who wont even experience the leveling themselves

I just think there needs to be a balance.

I still think gear should be a focal point, but in some way make the gameplay more important at the same time.

we all want d3's endgame to be more like wow's endgame, but keeping the base mechanics of d3 (there isnt one person tanking, there are no healers, theres no specific strategy required for boss fights)

Which I think increased co-op would be pretty GG but the idea of perfecting gear is fun to some.

I mean I get a kick out of perfecting gear.

The only way I could see it actually be able to work is to just have rares and crafting.

Similar to classic.

right, but the point of perfecting gear in d2 was what, so you could pvp better or do baal runs faster?

pvp should be more about skill, less about having the perfect gear, i dont know what it was like in d2 because i never did SC

pve is cool to have the absolute best gear, but really, can you see the difference between the average character and the perfect character in pve (assuming same character class, skill build, etc)

I am not a big fan of dueling anyways.

If I want to battle humans, I usually like doing it with guns and slashing/blunt weapons. (tf2/cs 1.6)

And your last point is pretty good. Mainly because the monsters were easy.

i thought rares were the best thing possible
uniques and rws should be for leveling or for space filling while you wait for rares
