how played/playing it?

I spent a week on 3 and just couldnt get into it. NV though has had the wife bitching at me for 5 days now.

awesome game so far and im not even to vegas

I played Fallout 3 and went through the entire main questline and accidentally beat it in like a day or two. This hasn't happened in New Vegas as the world map is much, much larger. I'm about 29 hours of playtime in and can pretty much do whatever I want at this point, it's fun.

I suggest getting the perk which allows you to see all of the quick travel locations as soon as you can, it will really surprise how big the game is in comparison to it's counterparts.

omg ima love that perk, hell right now with still being on what i am assuming the starter quests it is 10x bigger/funner/better than fo3

i just cant wait to make it through once and then go bad guy and blow up goodsprings right off and take over the legion

With the perk you can't fast travel to the locations, but you can see them. It's still very useful.

Also, when/if you do the Poseidon Energy quest for the NCR; GET THE FUCKING WEAPON! I regret taking the good guy path there.

if you mean the helios thing i just finished it last night and sent energy to everywhere and didnt blow shit up...:/

You can't get his rifle, not sure why. But, you do get his hat which is unique and pgood.

What weapon type do you use? I'm thinking of making a new character with all melee and strength for lulz.

used a 9mm smg until i got a service rifle used it until i got hunting rifle (the boone red sniper perk rocks) now i switch between hunting rifle/10mmsmg/fast/longrange modded 40mm grenade gun...i have no energy weapon points so havent really played with the plasma rifle other than in the ants nest and with the points it seems like it would kick butt.

my next guy will def be a sneaking melee guy with a straight razor,chainsaw and sledgehammer or a bare handed guy using gauntlets and brass knuckles and shit

That's basically the same thing I did, except I killed Boone. When you get to Eastside, do the questlines for the energy weapon dealers. The last mission is pretty crazy, but pays off with some riot shotguns which fucking rape at close/mid-range.
