restarted game, went with the expansion social policies since roman, map was covered in mountains and had so many barbarians around me it took about 50 turns to make a second city, then GW declared war on me for no clear reason and had 8 military units, donno

this game i went with 1 city build, there have been 3-4 barbarian military units in my city limits the entire game, they keep coming and coming

the computer will always expand to your borders then backtrack, obv to cut down your expansion possibilities

and if you want a peaceful start you will need to make it with less civs so you dont clash as early

spawned on a peninsula with lots of resources but also mountains and deserts

The computer will fail miserably trying to take you out, if they even really try at all. You may be giving up on some of these games too soon.

rather that than play for 47 hours and one random computer gets a culture victory after ive conquered 75% of the world

mongolia is on the right side, im on the left side
india and arabia in between mongolia and me
ottomons on a tiny island above me

mongolia has been a super superpower all game, but im totally cut off from attacking them even though we have been at war all game
mongolia is just now starting to attack india and arabia but neither of them will allow me open borders into their land so i can repel mongolia, even though were friends

i dont always play civ 5, but when i do, i play for 8 hour marathons

improved a lot in this game compared to everything before, using citystates, managing resources better, not losing military units to dumb movement mistakes/etc

arabia declared war on me so i started attacking toward the middle of the map
mongolians just took out india which is also in the middle of the map

gonna peace treaty with arabia and hope they want to fight mongolia too, otherwise mongolia is going to stomp the whole map

got 6 achievements for this win

won this with 7 turns to UN vote

dont know what to even say about those culture/happiness numbers

single city you basically stack those to win, its fun

trying to do a game as aztec, marathon, 1v1 on random map styles. as 1v1 goes you are guaranteed to be at war before ad unless you are on some huge map.

now arabia declares war on me for some retarded reason while mongolia is conquering the entire map
