they've just recently opened it up partially to free to play, probably just to bolster their member base ofc. There are some noticeable differences between members and free to play, but is still pretty good. Have been told it's quite similar to wow(but what game isn't compared to wow) but in space. never played wow so i cant confirm.

free download- 30 gigs, will take a bit to download. if you decide to subscribe, 15/month. or if you buy 6 months at a time, i think it's 13.
