I have a MacBook that I pretty much use for everything but D2 and was wondering if I could get Vent would work on my mac using the DC server. I downloaded the program but it brought up a message saying:

This version of the Mac client requires that the server be configured for the Speex Codec, but the server you just connected to uses the GSM 6.10 codec. Inbound and outbound voice comm will not function.


Am I just SOL? I tried using Vent on my desktop and I got mad static and pretty sure the sound card or what not is shot. Since I have no real desire to put any money in that POS desktop, am I relegated to posting on these forums wondering what everyone sounds like?

He pm'd me on jsp and got it working while talking to him on aim today, this can be closed ;)
