fatman and obese would be saying the same thing, so i'm sorry but his statement still stands. it would be like saying stretch, tall man, treetop, sky scraper, tower and so on. they all infur the same thing, just different more colourful ways of saying it.

fat is relative whereas obese is a scientific measurement based on multiple factors...

if he was writing a scientific report based on you then sure use obese but in the general social terms he was using, i think fatman is totally acceptable
