Apparently a couple of my favorite local bartenders from my favorite local bars play hockey 3-4 times a week.

I went to play yesterday and I thought I would play for about 10 minutes before my fat out of shape ass got tired but I played for 2 hours.

Today's result is a stiff, achy back, and two giant blisters on the inside of each heel because my skates are about 2 sizes too small.

Other than that I had an absolute blast and I think I'll start using this as a good way to get back into shape and being active, instead of being such a loser.

My life has been in a real rut lately and I'm thinking of making some drastic changes. That's a thread for another time.

Anyway, discuss me being broken down like a girl wink.gif

I'm a bit undecided. I've been having some really bad fights lately with my landlord because I'm having trouble paying bills.

The problem is that I am absolutely sick of food and beverage and when I wanted to go into the military a few years ago (about 19 when I first realized college was not going to be for me, at least not at this age) both parental units said "don't do it, etc." and I listened. The benefits I would have gotten would have nearly been paid for by now as I would be getting out of 4 years shortly.

There is a program that I believe only goes on once a year in January, for Electrician Apprentiships.

My buddies parents both worked for FPL (Florida Power and Lighting), squall ask your mum-n-pop, they will know who they are. They're both retired in their 50's, have put 4 kids through college, own a nice home, a motor home, go on numerous vacations per year.

I think a trade/craft would have been something much better for me given my personality than college.

But alas, I'm still leaning about just going in and joining. I'm doing nothing with myself.

I quit college after 2 and 1/2 years to work with my hands..and lemmie tell ya its been nothing but satisfying and I make a decent enough living that my wife dosnt have to work and we dont have any credit cards..house is paid for..only 1 car payment and debt free. So may assholes get caught in the " 1 up the Jones's" bullshit..and on another note..about 4 weeks ago I played full court baskeball with my oldest 2 sons who are 17 and 15 and their basketball team for father son day..now mind you Im 6'3 300+ lbs but I played 47 of the 60 mins and raped them. Not only did they find out but I found out all the hardwork i do keeps me in relativly good shape. There were guys who Id like to refer to as suits asking me to go in for them..who looked like they were in great shape in their 300.00 shoes and 200.00 outfit..gah pussys.

Do I go back to college next semester, or start working construction

This question has been on my mind the past few months, and god damnit now I'm considering it. School really isn't for me, or so it seems. Being outside and working seems so much more rewarding than sitting in some classroom listening to some teacher tell me shit I won't remember even a few months from now.

DO IT, NICKY

edit: Jeight, 1v1 ball for all your [unit not allowed]?

Confirm, he has a couple pounds on me but I've got the athletics and the basketball IQ to take him down.

My techniques so ill, I'll cross your ankles and tie your shoes together with one dribble

I'm only fat because I choose to play video games and eat doritos all day

I played sports from childhood til junior year of high school, then I got fat and discovered internet porn.
