Too much KG bandwagoning in this thread. Celtic D is good, but who guards Kobe? Alot will be on Kobe, and not Odom because he'll be heavily defended but Gasol will still be playing. The Lakers bench is so great I think that will really play a factor in the series.

Yeah but that's what everyone said about LeBron, though he is a worse outside shooter than Kobe, Celts played great defense against Kobe in the regular season, he shot 6-25 in one game and 9-21 in the other. They know how to defend him, and I know it's 'the playoffs' - but c'mon.

I will say that living in LA i am biased towards my home team and because of the area saw maybe 3-4 celtic games before the playoffs. My guess is phil has probably watched most of the BOS games and probably a handful of laker games. That said, it's a moot point to try and prove bench depth based solely off of 2 head to head games (which the lakers lost), common opponents, how each team did in the playoffs, etc. I think both benches have played well enough to get their teams to the finals. Looking forward to Thursday night.

to be honest I don't even know more than 3 or 4 Lakers bench players, I just think, IMOFC, they are going to get outplayed.

He's backed up his ego. I think he's earned the right to be pissed off when he's working 15x harder than anybody on his team and his management didn't give enough of a shit to give him help. I can understand hating players who fly by on their talent, but Kobe works as hard if not harder than anybody in this league and is psychotic about wanting to win, which is something I've only seen in one other player in my lifetime.
