Well that second game was utter bullshit at the end.

any time it is in overtime, it ends in bullshit

Esp when the refs decide every call has to go for the team whose city was ravaged by black looters.... er I mean a hurricane.

QQ 5 turnovers QQ

come on, nothing to do with refs

The Saints were awarded a 1st down they didn't get, in fact they were awarded two unfathomably fortuitous spots on that drive that after replays showed they should be further back, didn't get moved. The Vikings then were flagged for a phantom pass interference call, and then Meechum was given a catch that replay clearly showed was a trap at best.

Sorry, but I base things off of facts and reality. It would be one thing *if* one of those calls had managed to go against the Vikes. But all four, on a single drive, that just happened to be in overtime?

Second this. There were more stupid calls and pointless reviews against the saints.

Please do enlighten me where the Vikings were given the same treatment the Saints were on their final "drive".

Oh, and for the record, I'm not a Vikings fan. For God's sake, I root for the awful Browns.

The saints were actually raped harder by the refs, learn facts pls.

So rather than actually discussing the issue I just pointed out about all of those occurring on the SAME DRIVE, you decided to move the goal posts and sidestep the issue.

Way to fail getting aboard the logic train.

And it WAS in fact pass interference. If you so much as lay a hand on the other guy without turning back to play the ball and he falls the fuck down, the refs will call it every time. They did it all season long. So you want them to change their trend just so you don't bitch?
zzz I haven't seen a word of logic from you yet.

Call it what you want.

The Spot calls were bad. The pass interference call was bad (un-catchable, anyone?). The fact they called that last incomplete call a "catch" was bad.

Apparently you think officials only have to worry about dealing with penalties on the field. Nothing else matters :donno:

1. Wrong. Even the announcers were befuddled by the spot calls.
2. :donno: what that gif means. I fail. I'm just going to determine you agreed with me here.
3. The ball bounced off the turf, and he didn't have his arm under it until after. Replay clearly showed that.

There, I refuted what you "said".

Considering he was easy to refute, you could repeat him, but you'd still be wrong.

Actually, at best you can say the PI call was opinion, though the ruling states there isn't any PI if the ball is uncatchable.

The pass was clearly incomplete, and the spots were bad. At least a yard off.

Sometimes people will see two different things when looking at the same picture, or piece of data. That doesn't always mean they have differing opinions though. Sometimes just one person really IS right.

As am I. A ball bouncing up from the turf whilst the receiver hasn't gotten his arm/arms under the ball is clearly an incomplete pass. It was only questionable before they went to the booth to review it. At that point, there was enough evidence to overturn the ruling on the field. The same argument applies to the bad spots on that drive.

Which leaves the PI. There is no replay for that situation, thus you can make the argument it was a questionable call. We might have the luxury of seeing the play unfold after the fact in slow-motion, and can make a better determination on what happened; however the ref's are not afforded that same opportunity.

Logic isn't my strong suit? Last time I checked 31 was more than 28.. regardless as to what you think should have happened, it didn't. I'm gonna trust the referee's opinion over yours all day every day.
How is that not logical?

How is that not logical?

You shouldn't trust my own opinion.

You should trust facts. Simple as that. You watched the game, no? Are you honestly telling me your own eyewitness account somehow made the spots look ok to you? And the pass interference call made sense? What about the catch that clearly bounced off the field? The only way that's possible is if you came into the game with some sort of pre-biased opinion on how the game should play out.

I had no such opinion or conception. I looked at the evidence, and was able to see that the calls didn't add up. This isn't a matter of opinion; it's a matter of fact. You do know the NFL rules, no?

Again, I had no vested interest in seeing the Vikings make the Super Bowl. For God's sake, I'm a Browns fan. I'm used to futility.

Logic isn't my strong suit? Last time I checked 31 was more than 28.. regardless as to what you think should have happened, it didn't. I'm gonna trust the referee's opinion over yours all day every day.
How is that not logical?

You shouldn't trust my own opinion.

You should trust facts. Simple as that. You watched the game, no? Are you honestly telling me your own eyewitness account somehow made the spots look ok to you? And the pass interference call made sense? What about the catch that clearly bounced off the field? The only way that's possible is if you came into the game with some sort of pre-biased opinion on how the game should play out.

God. Let it die. What's done is done. Good call, bad call who the fuck cares. This argument is pure futility because you're CLEARLY smarter than the guys in striped shirts who get paid to make the calls. You really should apply to be a referee, then maybe you can be the douchebag that gets scrutinized.

I honestly don't doubt I'm more intelligent than most NFL referees, but that's not really what this is about, now is it?

Again, you're the one who won't let it die, because you seem to feel, well, justified in defending your position. So you reply, and hence I'm put in the position to refute your arguments.

Though admittedly, you're not giving me much to post a rebuttal about. You've gone from moving the goal posts, to having someone else argue for you, to now asking ME (when you're the one who can't stop replying) to "let it die".

Why not admit you don't have a convincing argument instead, and just say "it is what it is".

Well, I mean without being condescending about it, since that's the approach you tried already.

You're the one arguing, I'm just finding as many ways that I can to tell you that you're wrong. You're saying the zebras were wrong, I'm saying they were right. They get paid to be right. You were watching on T.V. They were there. Good calls bad calls, the game is over.

You're claiming I'm wrong, thus you're making an argument. Quit being obtuse. Were they there? Yes. Did they also have replay to help? Yes, as did we. Now you're claiming they had some sort of super secret angle they used to determine things. (Which would be wrong, the replays we see are the same ones they use in the booth).

Keep telling yourself you're not the one keeping this going. It tickles me on the inside.

Well, you are wrong. When the refs are the judge and the jury, they are right. Weather you like it or not. The saints win, you are wrong. Thats not an argument, it's a fact. You are wrong. No two ways around it. Wrong. I love how you say you're sitting back and chuckling at me when I put two sentences together and it enrages a paragraph out of you. :donno:

You do realize you can't "enrage" a paragraph, right? I don't know, since it's apparent your capacity for actual thought is pretty limited, so maybe that carries over to your mastery of the English language.

I'd like to give you the benefit of the doubt.

So now you're claim is ref's never get calls wrong. Really? Ever? They're infallible?

Looking forward to your next predictable and utterly juvenile response.

No, my whole basis of argument is, nobody gives a fuck what you think. They give a fuck what the refs think cause it matters.

IF anyone has been the broken record in this thread, it's been you. Now keep posting because I know you're just dying to get the last word in. In fact, I'll let you have it. I know it'll make you feel oh-so-special :)
