the bills aren't resigning T.O.
the bills aren't going to get LT
the bills need for a safety is minimal compared to LT, MLB, DT.
good try though
god damnit, you made me log back in just to tell you that you dont know shit about football
HOW THE FUCK IS VICK TO BUFFALO A BAD CHOICE?
oh my bad, trent edwards is the shit they dont need a great QB [sarcasm]
and if you are really that dumb, if they sign vick they will rethink ALL trades to accomodate him
stop reading espn and give some of your own opinions
Since when was Vick a "Great QB"?
Since 3/4 of the time he ignores a blantantly open receiver to try to get some yards of his own running dawg
since he signed the biggest nfl contract in history
and put a new spin on the position as "QB"
also made the wildcat offense worth watching
1. That makes him overpaid. That doesn't mean he's a "Great QB" or even a great player. There have been players that were signed to monster deals that turned out to be busts. It happens.
2. What spin did he put on the Position as QB, that other players hadn't done before him? I'm assuming you aren't trying to say he's the only real "Rushing QB" in the history of the game, are you? Both Randal Cunningham and Steve Young have run for more yards, and were far more prolific passers. Cunningham might be one of the most underrated players in NFL history.
3. The "Wildcat" has been around for a few years, and if anyone made it interesting to watch, it would have been either Ted Ginn when he was at OSU, or Darren McFadden when he was at ARK. Probably more so McFadden, as he was just amazing at it. Heck, he's not even the only NFL QB running the wildcat. Troy Smith does it for Baltimore (though they refer to it as the "Suggs Package".
1. Those monster deals were rookie contracts. Vick signed his monster deal post rookie season.. What was it? Like 7 years 100 mil?
2. He was the first of those to rush for 1,000 in a season if I'm not mistaken.
3. Darren McFadden made the wildcat famous, the style was originally called "The Razorback" all from the mind of Houston Nut. Actually the first variation of it was used against then powerhouse Auburn when Felix Jones hid behind the offensive line, took the snap and was gone.
1.
A. Duante Culpepper, 102 Million over 10 years in 2003. That was ofc post rookie season.
B. Drew Bledsoe, 103 Million over 10 years in 2001. Again, OFC post rookie season.
C. Carson Palmer, 118.75 Million 10 over in 2005.
See the trend? How much bang for their buck did their respective teams get?
2. Yes, Vick was the first to rush for over 1,000 yards a season at the QB position. However I believe the argument was still whether or not he is a "great QB". His 75.9 career QB rating say otherwise, no matter how "dynamic" he may be. He wasn't the first rushing QB to come along, and he won't be the last. He has yet to become the all time rusher from that position, AND he still has yet to prove he can be just as much a weapon in the passing game, as other rushing QB's were able to do before him.
3. Ohio State was running that offense in 2005/2006 as well. (With Ted Ginn). It didn't originate from Auburn. In fact Ginn was used extensively in that formation in the 2004 Alamo Bowl.
Again, I've yet to see how Vick is a "great qb".
