i hope this edit was just to capitalize "suns" or for the period
you know, something completely unnecessary

I put "sun".

the sun has set and kobe bryant and some other guys will be playing against the celtics in the finals.

is it just me or do goran dragić & nate robinson both have all-star talent with no ability to settle down and play good basketball when they do something right? i've been really impressed by dragić in the post-season. that kid has game.

Nate Robinson is awesome, but no consistency.

he has enough speed and agility to do the job, he just needs to learn (if he can). but he has a lot of offensive talent. most point guards in the NBA aren't great defenders (Nash included, but he's a good help defender [oddly enough]).

i think nate robinson just needs to CLAM DOWN. he could be a legit starter on a playoff team if he could just learn to CLAM DOWN. hes a great defender, shooter, passer ... he could be the best athlete in the NBA right now. i think he needs to work on his endurance, but he plays at such a high pace that a change of focus might not be the best idea. i've never understood why NBA players can't play a full game of hard basketball. i'm 32 and i can play at full speed for 2 1/2 hours with np. and i'm not slow. i think it must have something to do with lugging around a big, tall body or something. i know 190 pounds can run forever.

i flat-out refuse to place bets on this unpredictable series. i have worries that kobe will play like he did vs the suns (like michael jordan, but with less defense); i'm not sure the entire city of boston can beat the lakers when kobe plays that well.

i've been following the NBA since the early-mid 80s. i'm not saying that qualifies my opinions but i don't see why you think my opinions are so horrible. i understand the game, i'm not stupid, i actually play basketball...

there's nothing controversial about saying that kobe bryant is a great basketball player who can pretty much drag his team to win the championship. he almost always needs help from 2-3 other guys to win games, as i've said many times before. but the point is that he can completely dominate a series, and he's poised to do this against boston unless boston plays well.

i can see how someone can take issue with my claims about Gasol, but i can back up my claims about how he's overrated. he will be lucky if Garnett doesn't prove the point again. not saying Gasol isn't effective, ofc.

the cavs needed to beef up their interior and they did it. i think it gives them better defensive presence. it allows their guards to relax on help defense a little more and to stay home on the perimeter if needed. what could hurt the cavs is if their big men won't be healthy enough to play or produce during the playoffs. but their management should be applauded for making the right moves this year.

celtics: too old. they have it all, but mainly if u hit the rewind career button. they're crafty and they have a lot of heart, so i wouldn't officially count them out.

east teams with a "chance" to win it all:

2. orlando
3. atlanta
4. boston
west teams with a "chance" to win it all:
1. fakers
2. nuggets

i couldn't read anymore, but i know it's there. I'm not saying you don't know what you're talking about, I'm just saying your opinions are terrible and usually wrong.

maybe if Phil Jackson would pay Artest $100 per charge he took, but until then the Lakers are soft. Even though Perk will get suspended a game (ty shitty refs in Orlando) this series, Celts will take it in 6.

i love the soft argument. espn is all over that, and though i have no argument against it i thinks hardly that important unless the celts are allowed to beat them up. lakers have more skill, and have the best single player. celts have a better starting 5. kobe in 6.

haha, because that worked so well in 07 when Rondo wasn't an All Star. Celtics have the deepest bench in the NBA, period. Tony Allen > Shannon Brown, Farmar isn't anything special, Vujacic isn't even a real person, and who the hell else is on their bench, Bill Walton?

Celtics already beat D Wade and LeBron and that supposedly good player Howard. They have Ray, Tony and Pierce to give Kobe different looks, but OFC noone can shut him down.

I don't see how the Lakers have more talent, the Celtics are ridiculous from Starting 5 to end of the bench. Marquis, Finley, Nate, Sheldon are all legit players, though Finley and Nate are probably the only 2 to see much, if any, PT in the Finals.

Garnett, Davis, Perk and Sheed is enough to shut down any big man. Bynum is a pussyfart and will be totally ineffective all series long, save for maybe a Perk suspension. Odom is not good. Gasol will have his game(s), but Garnett + Sheed/Davis will be able to frustrate him effectively enough. Unless Kobe is going for 40+ a game, I don't see any way the Lakeshow wins this, brah.

this is true, but coming from that Magic series... they let them play real physical, probably because that's the only way Dwight CAN play. Tough to watch the Celtics play this bad, though.

Unless Kobe is going for 40+ a game, I don't see any way the Lakeshow wins this, brah.

good call brah

it was Game 1. In LA. With Joey Crawford on the whistle. Don't get too cockeyed.
