all thats happening atm is that its evident what a year long break means in terms of consistency and quality of play. and that hes still in the top tier of players after a year long break and everything else just shows me how much better he actually is than everyone else. by next year he will be fully back in the swing of things.

It's hardly illogical, since our species evolved to make that happen.

Bipedalism by it's very nature caused longer term relationships. It caused us to refashion our hips into more of load bearing instruments. To preserve the required strength, the birth canal had to be narrowed.
