Still to be determined. In a 3 way tie it comes down to bcs ranking. It is possible for OSU to jump above them in the rankings. Either way, if they go to the rose bowl (good for them!) in the event of a 3 way tie, they'd still be co-champs.

Actually (as I understand it) under big 10 rules it would still be a co-championship, Wisconsin however would win the tiebreaker and get the automatic bcs birth. Meaning OSU would go probably face like Va Tech in the Orange Bowl. Of course, this is dependent on Oregon/Auburn winning out. Things get very dicey if they start losing.

I'm with you on PSU having a really good shot at beating MSU though.

I think playoffs for like the top 4/8/10/12 teams is only feasible. Even 8 is kind of pushing it.

But this year and plenty of others in the past 10 years have shown that the BCS system does not work. The only thing it does really well is make a ton of money for a lot of schools, which sadly is why playoffs aren't going to come easy.

If there were playoffs, you wouldn't of had years of OSU sucking it in the NC games.

But a playoff system needs to be put in place and we need to say goodbye to this shitty system.

the bcs is there to put #1 vs #2, thats it. it sucks when there are 3 good teams, yes. but remember the bcs is a direct response to 1997 michigan and nebraska sharing a title.

A third of the BCS is based on media/coaches votes that are generally based more on tradition than results and are started far too early in the season giving an unfair advantage to teams thought to be good preseason which ultimately are not.
