despite his addiction to pain killers and crying like a bitch at every opportunity, favre is actually mentally tough because he has a strange edge and he knows how to compete, and also how to suck other people into competing. he is past his prime, but his experience, leadership and skill level still translate into a dangerous offensive setting.

Moss would be good... if he could run routes and block downfield.

At least now he can run a streak route every down and Favre's 15 yd INTs can be 35+ yd INTs. It's like punting on 1st down!

For starters, you're deluded if you think they're going 9-7. By the way, can't wait to see what Collins does this week.

Anyone would look pedestrian if their top receivers were bye bye, except for Manning, and maybe Brady. Quit raging.

im not raging, but you are presenting a fail argument where you dont actually say how good you think they will be in the hopes that after the season you can say "i told you so" no matter what their record.

How have I dodged? You think 9-7, I clearly think better. When they are better than that, I will have an ez I told you so. I can't help it if you can't follow the conversation.

Also, why is everyone quiet on vent?

They'll still win games because they have a great o-line, the top (maybe 2) running back in the nfl, and a good defense.

What team has Moss been a leader on exactly?
He doesn't accept mediocre efforts from anybody? Usually hes the one being questioned for giving a mediocre effort.

What team has Moss been a leader on exactly?
He doesn't accept mediocre efforts from anybody? Usually hes the one being questioned for giving a mediocre effort.

my idea is that he by lifting a team up through his actions. i don't think he has a great personality or that he's a true leader by example, like say a guy like hershel walker was in his day. i think he has a very high standard, and a guy like that is going to cut people up for not giving their best in practice and in games. i don't question his effort, but i could see him reserving himself for certain plays. he's not a guy who wants to throw blocks (protecting himself ofc), but he is a guy who will make big plays (cheer up his team) and completely piss off the opposition. i think he's the best all-time receiver when it comes to pushing off, which is something every player in the secondary hates. he has a good vert, good speed, a strong, tall body, he's very tough, and he has good hands. i think his effort is more consistent than people may suggest, although he is a guy who will play a little worse if he's sucking about something. that's not uncommon with great athletes. not everyone is a machine like kobe bryant.

the flip side is that if people younger players work hard enough to be as good as randy moss (just like he did), then taking a few plays off wouldn't hurt. i still don't think he's a huge slacker though. maybe vince carter would be that kind of guy if he was in the nfl ... oh wait, vince carter is afraid of contact.
