Again, there record wasn't that far off from Floridas. Now, granted, I don't know much about their non conference schedule. I do know OSU played FLA in the non-conference, and took them out behind the woodshed.

during the glory days of college football it was paid ringers who jumped from school to school and got paid (i say glory days because michigan and notre dame were good and you were not)

there is no way to expect to expect things to be on the level when the NCAA makes 680 mil just from tv deals. sure this is total sports, add in the major sports revenues from games and memorabilia/clothes this number could double, but just throw that kind of money around and the players are bound to end up with some in their pockets. probably rightly so as long as their entire athletic programs are funded fuck it.
