I haven't watched a lot of U of M this year...is there a reason why we're suddenly playing the "chuck it deep" game?

we have actually been decent at not giving up huge plays, not sure why you came out looking for the bomb
though it worked twice outside of the bad throw

how long did it take to bring down smu? 8-10 years? and that was only because people started speaking about it and it was painfully obvious.
my thoughts are they just want to avoid a huge melt down as attacking any one team in the sec means you have to go after at least 5 teams

I know. I hate our line. I don't remember when we have ever had a good line. Prolly why we only use mobile qb's.

Typical for the game though. It has to get way out of hand for the refs to start chucking flags.

When no one is looking at the ball, it looks like a brilliant pass.

Everyone here is calling it a great pass, lol. (House has 5 U of M fans in it and 3 OSU fans).

it was either bad routes or a risky as fuck pass, 2 defenders there
im guessing he was late on his read and it should have been thrown sooner

I'm fine with him taking those kind of risk the entire game. He'll make some plays, but he will throw 3 picks as well.

Course, our offense will net 300 yards total in the game, not enough to win imho.

Followed by a drawn out play in which he should have cut up instead of going down the line.

He only decided at the last second to run because the coverage and he knew he was spied on. Granted he could have broken out of that and do something amazing (he's done it often), but I'll take the idea of him looking to throw all day long.

Just like you'd take the idea of Miller throwing all day long. I just can't see us winning if Miller is throwing it up like 30 times this game. I'd be shocked.

last year he would have broken out to run after his first read, and maybe second. our new offense needs him to not do that, but in that circumstance i think the run was there if he broke it sooner. catch 22 though..

buy spying is certainly a counter to a running qb, especially if we keep him in the pocket aka straight drops.

Prolly. Growing pains with him actually maturing as a QB. He looks worse this year, but overall he's becoming a better QB. The learning curve is steep, but it'll pay dividends on the long run (I think).

i think you are right, next year i honestly believe he will be outstanding. and his running will be more decisive because hes not trying to stay in the pocket, he will just be letting the game come to him.
