He only decided at the last second to run because the coverage and he knew he was spied on. Granted he could have broken out of that and do something amazing (he's done it often), but I'll take the idea of him looking to throw all day long.

Just like you'd take the idea of Miller throwing all day long. I just can't see us winning if Miller is throwing it up like 30 times this game. I'd be shocked.

last year he would have broken out to run after his first read, and maybe second. our new offense needs him to not do that, but in that circumstance i think the run was there if he broke it sooner. catch 22 though..

buy spying is certainly a counter to a running qb, especially if we keep him in the pocket aka straight drops.

Prolly. Growing pains with him actually maturing as a QB. He looks worse this year, but overall he's becoming a better QB. The learning curve is steep, but it'll pay dividends on the long run (I think).
