i'm a huge fan

i despise rome. he is all that is wrong in sports talk radio. he is the fox news of sports talk, where the aim is to be overly opinionated even in the absence of proof/facts. rome makes skip bayless sound smart. hes been an ass since day 1 (thats his schtick). if rome were to die, tomorrow, radio would be a better place.

have you ever listened to dan partick? i feel like dan is exactly what is right in talk radio.

i love jim romes style. i havent had a job for longer than i want to admit and listen to him almost daily from 12-3

he has opinions and states them, nothing wrong with that. few things are true black and white in sports. i have never heard him bash someone for disagreeing with him when they make a good point. he welcomes that on his show imo.

great interviewer, doesnt do bullshit annoying takes (such as "who are the best 3 quarterbacks other than tom brady and peyton" type shit), funny as fuck making fun of callers. only radio host that can beat a topic to death for an hour and keep it fresh at the same time.

have you ever listened to jay mohr sports? his show is pretty funny, not a fan of his comedy or acting at all, but i enjoyed his sports show when i lived in rochester and they syndicated him. it is blatantly obvious at times that he has a team of people feeding him knowledge though.

tldr yeah i am kind of a jime rome dick rider but this is one of those rare moments where i disagree with you joe\

not a huge fan of dan patrick, his show isn't bad by any means. my good friend at my last job was a die hard dan patrick fan but i could never get into it.

my dad repeats this to me every single time he finds me listening to jim rome

he still thinks its funny after at least 20x

rome tv show in the 90s, rome is burning, was entirely based on being an edgy troll. now, one would think id appreciate that lol. but he just cane across as an entitled dick who just went on a rant about whatever to pass the time. maybe hes changed since then, not sure. i last listened to him when they put rome on during my morning drive to work and i just couldnt take it. that was maybe 2006-7, so ill concede that maybe he is better today.

what ive always appreciated about the patrick show is that it makes me think, it approaches topics from a different angle and was witty.
