if you are logged, reformat is the only sure way to do it. If you have no disk, call microsoft and tell them you lost your disk. they will probably ask for product key, but will give you a new one as long as it was purchased originally.

as for programs you may have had installed when you bought your computer, if you were given no actual copies of them then you need to call the people who you bought it from.
