One meal per week is usually whatever you want on any diet. The fat naturally occuring in fish is good for you, depending on what it is fried in, the oil could be bad or alright, but as long as you don't make a habit of that it should be fine.

There is diffrent kinds of fats, mainly good fats and bad fats.
The omega 3s in fish is good, chips is carbs and will make you gain weight, however if it's your cheap meal, it's ok.
Salads are horrible to eat, you need to eat protien(sp) and healthy fats, stay away from simple carbs for sure, and complex carbs need to be limited.

Define your now and then.
And it depends on how much you eat.
Fast food in general is horrible for you.
Complex carbs, google it.
Simple is like sugar etc, digests fast.
Complex is like brown rice, digests slow. Higher I think on the GI(?) index, forget what it's called. Simples are reverse. I forget which way it goes.
