yes focused rage

youre saying you can use an offensive attack every gcd and cleave/heroic strike every white attack without having rage problems?

more rage = more threat

depending on what you are tanking ive read quite a few things that say you can drop cruelty completely, and most builds only have 2/5

it doesnt change the tooltip to reflect it in any way, but every time you crit it adds a new instance of the damage, and each instance wears off after the x duration

if you look at your damage as dps on recount in some fights where you score lots of crits (loatheb, etc), you will see deep wounds tick for v high damage every now and then (a few seconds after you get a lucky string of crits)

i thought it just refreshed the existing stack

nah mean
thats why it is so mandatory for every warrior build, and scales great with higher crit chances

im just used to playing a class where 1% crit is a very significant increase, and you would be insane to not take it for 1 talent point

the fact that i cant do that with the prot warrior just makes me cry

its a tier 1 talent, its right there, just not enough points uunnhghhhhhhhhhh

and yes thats why im interested in your crit chance with/without raid buffs

clearly the 3 points in cruelty would be a very large threat increase, but you have to give up shockwave/snb/damageshield or armored to the teeth to get it

ATT, especially when its buffed to 3 per 108 is too good to pass
and goes without saying that you cant really pass on a key prot talent in shockwave

you have to drop shield specialization imo
thats the talent i see most drop to get to cruelty, which is seemingly only a rage boost if needed
but really, rage is just never an issue, maybe on long battles where there is only one mob and he hits less times but for more dmg

and yea, i would love the crit%, but with a tank conventional wisdom would say my dps just does not matter, yet the way threat is dps matters
att cant be passed, its just too good
imo as long as we have to go into arms to get deep wounds we have to give up disciplines or shield spec. some pass on conc blow and vigilance too ive seen.

one would think so, the war tank model is just fucking goofy imo, and the fact all 3 other tank classes can aoe tank and boss tank effectively (with the same spec) kinda makes me cry a little

maybe threat should be gained when a block/dodge/parry occurs.

thats what damage shield does, but thats only blocks
maybe change it to -> whenver shit swings at you, you deal damage back based on BV?
i could see that being reasonable to go alongside with the fact that blizzard is trying to make block value viable

p sure death knight tanks have superior tanking trees for aoe/single target tanking
but they are also blizzards love child with not assigning a particular tree to one purpose

should somehow include dodge and parry since we have skills boosting those, and just another reason to stay balanced with all 3

if you see a piece of parry or dodge on gear its an attractive tank stat
if you see block value, its automatically a sub-par piece
