and im not sure yet, gotta put all my gear on and see where the stats fall
probably going to be gemming stam in all slots and deal with def cap from gear upgrades
or gem def in my shittiest of items if need be

figured it would be like dps where you just gem for whats important unless the bonus is worth it

matching sockets for prot isn't necessarily important

just look at the socket bonuses and see if you would get better overall stats by matching it or not matching it

figured it would be like dps where you just gem for whats important unless the bonus is worth it


no, not really
but prot can make full use out of hybrid gems such as 9 dodge/12 stam or 9 parry/12 stam
where dps utilizes only half of a 9 str/12 stam gem, etc
so free socket bonuses

parry is just another mitigation stat like block or dodge

i think parry might be important to warriors though, unlike paladins

were all about block rating, since we generate threat + dmg from taking hits
