actually going to start doing it this time, after injuring my elbow/shoulder this summer I feel I am in the worst shape I've ever been in.

I'm going to start running 3 to 4 times a week, maybe more. I have a track right near my house, so I can run to that, run it a couple times and then back home for a solid 1.5-2 mile run. I will also probably start playing basketball again on the weekends. I really don't have a whole lot of money to be paying for a gym membership, so I figured running was my best option even though I do fucking hate it.

As far as dieting, I figure this would be a lot easier. I have already began to stop drinking soda, or at least a heavy cut back, from 3+ a day to sometimes 1. I am not a very picky eater at all, so cutting shitty junk shouldn't be a problem. Where I work, there are 2 fresh fruit stands every day. I usually don't eat breakfast, and have a very light lunch. Dinner usually some meat, rice and veggies.

Yesterday was supposed to be my first day of running, but I was dead fucking tired. After sleeping 14 hours, I have a lot of energy and NEED to run today, lol. I wonder if there's a scale in my house..

Is there anything else I should be doing? I told myself I wasn't going to smoke/drink, but obviously this isn't going to happen.. though I will be cutting back (no drinking during weekdays, and if I am exercising on the regular that will cut back on smoking).

Drink alot of water..and you need to eat more..your metablism is super slow b/c you dont eat breakfast, and you eat a girl lunch.

word, it would help if I didn't sleep like a methhead. I'll get into the habit of going to sleep earlier / waking up earlier and getting in a breakfast.

typically it's..

Breakfast: Nothing (will change to some eggs/fruits)
Lunch: Sammich + chips or some sort of snack
and I already mentioned dinner.

I currently do drink a lot of water, and anytime I feel the need to drink something other than water I've been going for juice/gatorade instead.

Pro tip;
If your piss is yellow you're dehydrated.
If your mouth is dry, you're in an advanced stage of dehydration.
If your piss is clearish, with a slight yellow tint, you're hydrated.

i suspect you'll need more food than that m8

Other than what I've already listed, wanna give me either a link or a list of some healthy foods for dieting?

Went running, did 3/4ths a mile running and 1/4th walking... next time I'm going to 1 mile running .5 walking, god damn i'm outta shape.

also couldn't do pushups, my left shoulder is still fubar.. i totally shoulda saw a doctor back when i hurt it, now it's all fucked up.

Healthy foods:
If you can't kill it, grow it, pick it, don't eat it.
Clean foods...tuna chicken..bascially all white meat
Carbs..fruits..veggies..brown anything..rice..pasta etc
fat..monosaturated..extra virgin olive oil..egg yokes etc
