Get back to about the same level of fitness (if not better) than I had 7 years ago.

Another day gone, this is starting to get easier. (Not the workouts, but making myself do them and bringing 100% each time).

It's a great program although it's not risk-free by any means. I had some fun with it and during the plyo video I often flamed the people in the video for not working hard enough. Keep it fun, keep it difficult (tough to do but it's the best way to survive and get results) :)

Yeah. It's been tough but it's getting easier to get through them. Today was Kempo X. I was gassed at the end but I kept up pretty well with them today.

That's the most demanding workout (for cardio) imo. It's also my favourite, maybe tied with the core workout (the core video is just good for overall fitness).

We don't do core I think until week 4. But yeah, Plyo kicks the ever-lovin' shit out of me something fierce. I hate it, in a very good way.

Sick yesterday, so day 10 was moved to today. (Shoulders and Arms + Ab Ripper X). Best workout yet, I dug deep and left everything out on the mat. FML though, as now I have to go to the store.

Sucks m8, but gz

If I was not currently lifting and doing cardio and starting HIIT I had debated doing P90x

Sounds like you got a n1 regimen going already. My main reason why I'm doing p90x is the wife. She kept watching it on TV, and decided she wanted to do it. So in order to keep her movitvated I'm doing it with her. Turns out it's a vn1 program, though even as out of shape as I had let myself get, I'm already needing more weight for half the exercises. What I need is some 5/50lb adjustables, but ofc too expensive. So I'm busy screwing and unscrewing like a madman, and sometimes having to pause just to get the weight right.

Why dont you just get dumbells for the weights you need instead of adjustable ones :donno:

Because it'd be just about as expensive to get weights from 5lb - > 50 lb, and it would take up a lot more space.

Day 17 (Arms and Shoulders) - Improved on everything, in fact, I'm going to need more weight...like now. Wife is going to bitch at me, but thinking about getting the 5-50 bowflex selecttechs when our tax money comes in. I have a feeling by the end of this though I'll be needing the 1090 series...fucking muscle memory.

FEK.

Maybe I'll just rep everything out at 15 reps.....

Was able to do 329 of the 349 ab ripper exercises tonight at their pace....getting there.

E: Also Plyo's yesterday was nice. Got through it all and then collapsed into a sweating heap on the floor. Love the sport-specific bonus round.

Tony Tony Tony, you better have something special planned in week 5. Otherwise I feel you'll be wasting my time soon, and that'll piss me off.

Buy the Weider 50lb Adjustables. Solid imo for the money, considering the next step up from them is over 2x as much.

Weider adjustables? I didn't even know they existed. Was looking at getting the Bowflex Selectech 550 series.

I'll look into it.

Are they sturdy?

The Bowflex ones are cheaper, if you don't want the stand.

And seriously, why do I need a stand for these? Back to square one I suppose.
