How does one plan for their wife deciding to leave her 60k a year job, then not working for 10 months, because oh yeah, shit's hard to find a job right now, my bad. (and not settling).

I did all the "planning" I could have for that, including cashing out both our retirements to stay afloat, selling MY car (not hers), taking on loans when all our funds were exhausted jut to try and keep utilities on, and then when that failed, having to wreck my credit by going into bankruptcy.

Resentful of this situation? You fucking bet. Especially since HR just fucked me at work and has decided that despite every fucking department I work with loving me, they no longer need my services come July.

In a nutshell, don't run your stupid fucking mouth if you have no clue what the situation is.

goddamn women are all the same. they all have zero passion for work and once they have kids they just give up on their lives and just decide to become housewives for the rest of their life and leave the important things to the husband. it's much easier than actually putting the effort to build a career and support your family.




not going to lie, this sounds like a pretty fucked up situation. but there is nobody to blame but yourselves. this situation is the result of all of you and your wifes mistakes.

I don't have a newborn. Mikey is 12...so it's not like she waited to stop working once we had a child...

she has been pretending for 12 years, that's her limit. if she manages to get another job i will be surprised. you really believe the ''too hard to get a job'' bullshit? if she really truly wanted another job she would've had one a long time ago. the more time she spends with mikey, the less likely she'll get a job. the only time where she'll truly attempt to get a job is when the situation hits rock bottom and there is zero income. once you lose your job i think that's when things will actually get better, when she sees that both of you are unemployed. she also might just wait until you get another job FIRST and just continue being a housewife though. or she might also just leave but i doubt it so nevermind that.

She's interviewing, we're still poor. I'm now a recruiting coordinator for a staffing firm, and if all goes according to plan, will be giving that job up to move out of state with the Wife here shortly.

Dude - jobs are hard as shit to come by these days. I almost feel bad having my cushy job as a cololege dropout when my wife can't find a job to save her life with her masters.... doesn;t seem fair

WE got our own place again, moved in the first of jan. Took this long for ATT uverse to get out and give us inets.

Course, I don't have a running comp (dell laptop is dead, needs new charging port installed to the mobo, and I'm not tech savvy enough to do that, also needs a new battery and plug, but those are easier fixes).

So right now on Mikeys desktop I bought him for his bday. (since he's asleep, lul). might get the same model myself, but will actually put in a gfx card and probably better power source (only 300w).

Then again, I only play rs...so yeah.

Oh, and some dieting let me go from 175 to 156.
