skills that joe should get
attack 30
strength 30
defense 30
magic 45
mining 30
woodcut 60 <-- real goal

by the time you get those skills you should have a firm basic understanding of the game and the non-members map/world

optional:
smithing 25 - you wont use this much at all, ever
ranging 40 - if you like shooting things with bows rather than melee fighting
runecrafting - level 35 if you really enjoy it
fishing - 30, if you enjoy it
cooking - 25, eventually everyone gets this skill to a high level because its easy
crafting - 10

also work on completing any quests you come across
by the time all of the levels are done, youll want to have done almost all of the free quests, except for dragon slayer, that one is "the difficult quest" on nonmembers

if you actually get all that stuff done, it means that you will actually like the game and want to keep playing, which is the point where you want to buy a month of membership, and having those stats and quests done is the perfect start to being members

lol, ill start using that site instead of posting mindless questions

1 should be completely deserted, has lots of trees, you can cut there and either drop or burn the logs, too long to bank
2 should have 1 or 2 people there, no problem, go there if 3 is too crowded
3 is the most common place, and very close to the bank




willow logs are worth 18 gp each, which is around the same as 1 mind rune, so you can pay for training magic with them if you choose to bank them all

if you train your melee skills i can make you some better armor
if you click the skills (attack,defense) you can see the tiers of weapons and armor you can use at different levels
higher level gear = stronger/more accurate hits = faster training

that also leads to higher overall level, which leads to better mining/woodcutting axes?

mining/woodcutting axes rely on mining/woodcutting levels

click the menu for each of those skills, then click the pickaxe/axe submenu to see the requirements for those

so i can buy a new axe then

@joe, look on the bright side
you only need to chop 4,055 willow trees to get 60 woodcutting

getting to 99 takes 192,000 willows, and of course over 10 thousand people have 99 woodcutting, so

to explain the combat system a little more

every hit of 1 damage you do, it gives you 4 experience in the main combat skill you are training, as well as 1.33 hitpoints experience
if you are training on a controlled method, you get 1.33 experience to all attack/strength/defense instead of just 4 in one


the calculations to determine combat level is basically, every 3 attack/strength levels = 1 combat level, every 4 defense/hitpoints levels = 1 combat level, and every 8 prayer levels = 1 combat level

range and magic raise your combat level, only if they are dominant over attack and strength combined

all of that said, means that in the course of getting 99 in the 4 melee skills, you have to deal about 10 million damage with melee

and to confess, my stats being very close, i have just realized that means nearly 10million damage
so DONNO

i noticed that it is harder to fight, say lvl 7 dark wizards, and they do more dmg, but i maybe get more exp overall. but it seems quicker to fight lvl 3 or 6 rats.

you get money instantly and the item goes up for middle price on ge always
which means there will always be a supply at mid price, no more of the times when you really need a godsword or something but theres no supply even if you pay max price

double the amount of lootshare designated worlds now too, although bandos is always as crowded because coinshare is out
