Second rule of merching: don't be greedy. I merchant the same items over and over. An item does not need to be going up in order for you to make money off it. It doesn't matter if they're going up or down. Some days you make more, and some days you make less. Some days you'll make a mistake and lose, but that doesn't happen very often. If you do it right, you'll always come out on top overall. You have to adjust your prices depending on what the market is doing. If your item is going down, then buy for a few gp over min, and sell for a few gp under mid. If the price is hanging out for a while, then buy a few gp down from mid, and sell a few gp up from mid. If your item is obviously going up, then buy a few gp over mid, and sell a few gp down from max. When you're learning an item, start by buying as low as you can. All you have to do to make money with merching is to sell something for more than you bought. These guidelines vary depending on how expensive the item is. If the item is 100 gp, then changing your buying or selling price by 1 or 2 gp could make a big difference on how fast you buy or sell. If the item is 100k gp, then changing your prices by 1 or 2 gp won't affect anything. You have to adjust your prices by ks instead of single gps. That should be common sense. If you're working with items that cost a few million, then changing prices by 10ks is usually the way to go. Once again, this is not about specifics, this is about getting the feel for how markets work.

why do you have to flip so many different items ?

well I want to compile a list of items that will be somewhat expensive and flip decently so when bandos godswords are being shitty like they have been lately, I have something else to do before they get good again
