LOL if you really didn't assume this on a GRAND MASTER QUEST

i assumed that there would be a quick way to get back to where i was if i needed some food, which is the standard for a quest; or at least that the guide i used would suggest bringing stuff if it was needed.

it's also super-quick for a "grandmaster" quest, and it has a weak storyline (imo). i'm heading out for the night, but i hope the final fight is pretty exciting. otherwise this quest will be a huge disappointment compared to wgs.

i didn't do the whole nomad quest myself, but the void stares back doesn't seem like it's really worth adding, especially when rs just removed romeo and juliet because it didn't meet stringent standards. this puts to question what standards have been employed. i'll probably finish up the void stares back tonight, so long as i can get through the combat. i guess that's the grandmaster part.

nice, any tips for the fight vs the queen? my combats are all around lvl 78-80. summon will be war tort then kyatt, since my summoning lvl is low. my idea is to use sara brews with restore pots and to bring some food and possibly a holy wrench. i'm debating going cheap on the items i use for attacking the queen, since i don't really want to risk more than a few million. i won't be using a fury, for example.

i was going to start the fight tonight, but i'd rather have some gold in the bank first, since my supply is low (in case i lose any items or need to buy more pots).

my other option is to level my combats and wait to do the quest until later. the queen looks pretty vicious :o

nah, it seemed fine tbh.
gear looked like : korasi sword, black d'hide top, dragonplate skirt, dragon boots, neitz helm, ring of life, obby shield, glory, barrows
brought only a tort filled with brews, super restores, rocktails.
invt was rocktails brews & restores

Pitto did the fight though
because he's a LOT better than me at paying attention

ahaha
The fight really comes down to your capacity to pay attention, focus on switches and multitasking

i think i'll bring a kyatt (for ambush) and just go with brews/restores, rather than pile up food. i will bring some food, but just a couple bits in case i get in big trouble. based on watching some video guides, it looks like it's mostly a matter of patience and having enough supplies. i don't look forward to giving it a shot, but i may take a stab at it tonight. basically if i miss a special attack, i'll die. otherwise should just be a long, boring fight.

Attempt Log:

attempt #1: fail, did not die (brought completely wrong stuff)
attempt #2: fail, did not die (ran out of supplies)
attempt #3: failed @ spec, did not die (ring of life'd)
attempt #4: failed @ spec, did not die (ring of life'd)
attempt #5: succeeded

attempt #5 involved bringing mid-level combat gear

black d hide top, dragon skirt, dragon boots, bandos gauntlets, glory, soul wars cape, neitiznot, obby shield, korasi's sword, ring of life

sara brews, restore pots, sharks
tort to hold extra sara brews, restore pots and rocktails
kyatt with mass ambush scrolls

The battle is long but simple. I got caught a couple of times b/c I ran out of specs. If you have 84 Herblore you can easily remedy this. I don't have high combat (109), so I had to go through a lot of brews. It's a marathon until you use a familiar that can attack. And you need to attack and kill (pray mage is an option) elite defilers as they appear; pray melee against the Pest Queen. I just wrote this info down in case anyone wants to see the basic scenario that goes behind killing the queen. Most of you will have an easier time with her than I did. Her spec starts when she shakes like a prostitute--that's when you use your spec to interrupt her from being a whore. Her attack hits for 500 if you don't interrupt her.

Another note: if you set your death relocation/restore point to Falador or if you get ring of life'd, you can restart the fight by taking to sir Tiffy (he teleports you there). You can bank before you get back to the fight and Korasi's sword can be re-obtained in the room before the fight by the girl you saved by that point in the quest.

Not sure what else to add, nothing much comes to mind. If you want to use good gear, setting your restore point to Falador is a must in case of death or lag-death. I only risked about 1-1.5 million, but that includes pots.
