Microsoft 2007 class be?

excel (im semi pro at this)
powerpoint
outlook
access
publisher

we are switching all systems from lotus/novell to microsoft and figured I need a refresher for the office 2007 changes and shit. Plus I have to take 2 courses a year of best friend stuff, I figured this and one on wildlife biology would be good. For some reason my boss gave me a blank stare when I told him about the latter and said they would not pay for it wtf??

If you are acustomed to the old office suite, 07 sucks
Fucking stupid ribbon bullshit might have less frustration if someone shows you where shit is before you go nuts looking for it

At my last job I spent 5 hours a day everyday writing macros in VB for excel, word, and access. When they asked me to beta test my macros in the new 07, I wanted to off myself

exactally why I am taking the class, just to find out all the little tricks and stuff that goes along with 07. Hell it took me like 2 hours to find where "save as" was on excel 07...
I DO NOT like it

At the time I did beta testing I asked a microsoft rep why they went and completely changed the look and removed the toolbars...he told me the reason for the ribbon implementation was to make the office suite easier for the "new user"

I asked him how the fuck something that changes look and options based on set-focus or mouse click would ever be easier for someone new. Isn't it counter productive to have options and buttons available and then as soon as they click on something everything they see changes

generally large colorful buttons are better than a concise menubox that includes everything at once

I had problems with my old publishing job when I sent files in Excel 03 format, apparently their shit was too out of date to handle that :donno: (this was 2008)
