So I am potentially up for Jury Duty this week and like most people, I really don't want to go.

I think my Juror # is in the 300's out of 700. I need to check when I get home.

Monday they have called 1-90, so I will go ahead and assume they call 90 people a day, that puts me up around Thursday or Friday and I have to work both days.

Does anyone have any good ideas for how to get out of it? I don't know if I can or not, but I'm hoping my # doesn't even get called.

they only give you a week in advance? i got mine like 3 months before

tell them you have heard about the case and are already decided on the outcome

OR

tell them you hate: gays, women, blacks, mexicans and asians


should get you off the hook

I've known for about 4 weeks, yesterday just happened to be the day when they started calling #'s for my group.



I'm not a liar, so I can't just go ahead and say that, by principal.

yeah actually, tell someone in charge that youre very prone to judge people without even considering the case, and also likely to not listen to any of the case

Tell them you had something similar happen to a close friend and you feel that it might affect your ability to properly make a fair and non basis(donno how ot spell) decision.

or say that you had something similar happen to a close friend, so you are anxious to get on the jury to help bring justice

or just bring game boy

tell them about your various run-ins with cops, and how you think that whatever they say is untrustworthy.
