It specifically says that arbitration is the negotiation between a team and a player discussing the terms of contracts if there was any disagreedment or just something that would cause for a third party to help them reach a conclusion so that this player can fucking play baseball rather then sit in a fucking conference room and talk business.

Arbitration Eligible - You need to be in the Majors for at least 3 years and less than 6 years.

If a salary situation goes to arbitration both sides argue in front of a panel why the salary is deserved and the panel will calculate a number based on players performance and taking the arguments into account.

yes, and the arbitrator(s) used each sides case and players of common standing in the league as a basis for their ruling.

the only thing that makes it not as much of a fight is both parties agreed to arbitration, which basically means they both want the same thing but cant agree on the details
