got a letter sent out on aug 4, sent to an address my parents have not lived at for about 5 years, forwarded to their new address after 2 months, faxed to me yesterday. says i took an emergency loan from eastern illinois university for $600 on jan of 2000, agreement to pay back by dec of 2000.

OFC they let 8 years go by without trying to make contact because the form i signed to get the loan was my agreement to pay the loan.

moral of the story: $600 worth of beer/pot/rent in the year 2000 is now worth $960.54.

Hmmm pot and rent aside what could $600 get me beer wise:

1800 cans of bush
or
10 barrels of miller
or
20 bottles of black Tuesday 20% abv stout by the bruery
or
a single 750 ml bottle of de dolles stille nacht reserva 2000

pretty sure i spent at least half on rent, probably $100 on pot, rest on beer and cigs
and knowing me a nice ribeye steak too

But you are not being honest...we all know this loan was not taken out in 2000, it was moar like 1920 which puts the estimated value in today's terms of a couple grand at least 5,000 or so

i just found it funny they let it sit for 8 years because its not the type of loan they try to contact people over

Hopefully the same thing will happen with my $230 ticket from the city that was due July 1st.
