I didn't read it yet but I certainly will. That's fucking awesome to have one of the most influential writers/grandfathers of homebrewing even acknowledge your efforts, let alone write about it.

I guess you never read one of his book...
That is his most notorious quote.

So m8, while we are talking aboot it. Have you made any more efforts at converting to all grain?
Also, have you done wine at all?

With my recently acquired carboys I am looking at doing some high gravity or long term fermenting batches.

This weekend I picked wild fox grapes for my first wine. Took 4 hours to pick, clean and sort. Then another hour to mash them up. I only got like 2.5 gallons from 16 pounds of grapes...honestly FUCK that. No wonder 99% of the people who make wine just buy juice and don't use fresh picked fruit.

the wineries out here host events where they hand out food and some free wine and people come to pick/clean/mash the grapes for free. they get the most labor-intensive aspect to their job done for the price of a catered meal and some free booze.

Interesting concept, perhaps I'll give the midgets in my basement a week off of fighting and make them stomp
