joe, do you hate your work so much?
its clearly that i hate my job, i just hate working at a job that i dont love
the trouble is i dont know what it is that i would love to do, so i am forever stuck doing jobs i only marginally like
real dilemma
i think if i had hope of a raise, or promotion, things would be different. but being the position i am, at a smaller company, my only hope for growth at this point is our company growing. which is entirely possible ofc. i also happen to live in a place where the average salary is quit a bit lower than a city or even the national average. so my wage is actually better than it appears. this hardly makes you feel better about it though tbh. and while my work environment is actually very good there is never even a "good job" passed on because "good job" really means "thanks for actually doing what i pay you to do".
i dont think one can be happy unless they are their own boss.
