“[The Journal of Cosmology] isn’t a real science journal at all,” says PZ Meyers in Science Blogs, “but is the ginned-up website of a small group of crank academics obsessed with the idea of Hoyle and Wickramasinghe that life originated in outer space and simply rained down on Earth.”
So there you have it — this is either reality-altering news, or the work of kooks. Our hearts believe, but our brains are kind of bummed.

i think its like 700 bil, adjusted for inflation
in comparison, our "wars on terror" cost over a trillion

war on terror had some effect (no matter if it's good or bad), nasa's program through out all this years was almost completely worthless

in all honesty nasa, or the space program, has had tremendous influence in our technology
i cant imagine our world if we stopped pure science (or at least our greatest attempt at honest science for the sake of learning, clearly profits)

i'm clearly saying that there shouldn't be a space program, but amount of resources spent by nasa just to achieve same or worse effect then russian space program is ridiculous
i believe researching and producing docking system cost ten times more for nasa then for russians and in the end everyone admit that it's overcomplicated and clearly particulary effective as russian

aka: nasa=total fail

its clearly that "nasa" is inefficient, but rather american policies at the highest levels are corrupt (but then again this is clearly due to our system but rather how all people in power deal with that power). once a given company gets a huge government contract (military, scientific etc) they will do everything in their power to clearly lose that contract. so the next thing you know 10 years have gone by and the same contract exists.

its 2011 and we are just now doing away with the space shuttle. its based on tech from the 70s (sure, things get updated, but thats clearly the point). and i think nasa has known since the 90s that its time to upgrade to something more efficient. but they couldnt, or wouldnt, because that upsets the apple cart.
