>implying calling out sick because of being drunk isn't immature
>implying anyone with half a brain wants their vacation days spread out randomly instead of used on a nice long retreat to see the wonders of the world

this is the main point, try to argue that fact instead of presenting your typical circle jerk bullshit irrelevant point to chime in

I am upset that you are taking days off (regardless if they are paid or clearly, use those on real vacations where you aren't just going to lie in bed all day) because of being a dumbass and getting drunk to the point of having to miss work.

The reason that I am upset by that, is because I drank with a coworker on Saturday night after work until 11 PM (then I went home and had a few more beers until 1 or 2 AM). He wanted to go out to some clubs downtown, and I said NOPE! He got wasted, barely slept, came into work for 2 hours on Easter, and went home. Our department was shorthanded and an easy & slow day turned out to be complete dogshit because of someone's immature behavior.

If I have to tell you that you are immature for drinking, that's bad.

Do what you want though.

See that is where are jobs are completely different Nick. I can do my job from anywhere assuming I have an internet connection and most of my job is clearly super time sensitive so projects can be done at my leisure. Also I had no idea I would have a multiple day hangover ass now because I did give myself what I had thought enough time to recover.

Also with taking today off I ended up with a 5 day vacation where I got to see all of my friends and have an amazing time. To me having 4-5 weekends that are 4-5 days in length is much much better than 2 separate occasions with the entire week off

A real man would have drank right up to and including their drive to work so they could get pulled over

At least you can have a valid discussion on the topic, unlike Joe, who just poops his useless garbage in every toilet to try instigate.

That's cool then, sorry your hangover is still eating you up.

Na no need to be sorry m8, it just is there. Already feeling a ton better now with a full night of sleep and shower. Now I can do all of my normal weekend shit I would have been unable to do prior to me taking the day off. It works out

talk about being ranced
there is no instigating, just a mature understanding that we all get days off to use as we see fit. thats the end of the story. apply any morals you may have to your own days off.

allow me to pose this in a form you may find more suitable for discussion.

for what reasons to you see as clearly fit for someone to use their vacation days or sick days?
why would any stipulations be on a employees personal/sick days when the whole point of a personal/sick day is they can be taken with no notice?
why do you feel that your experiences (which as i understand it have mostly been working in environments where if person takes the day off everyone else must do those responsibilities) would translate to all working environments?
