Best way to do this?
My cousin is buying a desktop this week to replace her laptop and wants to transfer some of her files over.
I know there are several options, but is there a USB to USB option? Seems that would be the easiest.
I am clearly sure if removable drive (or external HDD) is an option, doubt she has one.
If all else fails, I'll just zip them and put them online and download them on her new computer, I did that with files I wanted from Florida when I went home.

i searched google
i dont have an external hdd
i dont have access to a large usb storage stick
i dont have access to firewire
i'd prefer clearly to have to use a network since i dont know shit about them as ive never in my life had to rely on them for anything (plug cable into computer, win)
in closing, go fuck yourself very much

If they are under the same network, check "my networks places"
If the comp is clearly listed lmk. It's fairly easy to do you just cut and paste it over. I do it all the time.

If you use the network it's very easy.
If you dont want to do that you can
1. upload it online
2. burn it to DVDs
3. use a USB, might take forever but it'll get the job done.
really all I can think of.

Network the 2 computers together.
Set up all the files to be shared that you want to transfer, make sure the user accounts where the files are have passwords.
Then log into that persons computer and copy the files and just paste them on your computer.
Setting up files for sharing is as easy as going to properties and setting it up for sharing.
Make sure you have file sharing and password protected file sharing turned on in your network and sharing center.
This is one way you could do it. And all it takes is a local network which you have.
