accredited media doesn't define a grievance because accredited media is barely recognizing anything that happens

they show shots of campers, people standing around instead of meetings
they cut away when police use unwarranted force [see ABC and CBS coverage of occupy oakland cutting to a shot of occupy washington when the police arrived]

@joe, you're probably only one who'd read this so i leave this for you

was pretty interesting, a couple factual mistakes that commenters below pointed out

We are also joined by Stephen Graham, author of "Cities Under Siege: The New Military Urbanism," and by retired New York Supreme Court Judge Karen Smith, who worked as a legal observer Tuesday morning in New York after the police raided the Occupy Wall Street encampment. "I was there to take down the names of people who were arrested... As I’m standing there, some African-American woman goes up to a police officer and says, 'I need to get in. My daughter's there. I want to know if she’s OK.’ And he said, 'Move on, lady.' And they kept pushing with their sticks, pushing back. And she was crying. And all of a sudden, out of nowhere, he throws her to the ground and starts hitting her in the head," says Smith. "I walk over, and I say, 'Look, cuff her if she's done something, but you don’t need to do that.’ And he said, 'Lady, do you want to get arrested?' And I said, 'Do you see my hat? I'm here as a legal observer.’ He said, 'You want to get arrested?' And he pushed me up against the wall.

Former Philadelphia Police Captain Ray Lewis, In Cuffs, New York Observer 11/17/2011 @ 2:21pm by Drew Grant

Quote
This amazing image comes to us via tipster Lauren Thorpe, who wrote in ” I’ve been down at OWS all morning and am heading back down there again now,” with an attachment of former Philadelphia police Captain Ray Lewis, who was arrested today in conjunction with the Occupy Wall Street protests. There is simply nothing more bizarre than looking at images of a man in police uniform arrested and handcuffed by people wearing lower-ranking NYPD garb.

Quote
If that’s clearly Pulitzer-worthy photography–capturing the true insanity of today–then we don’t know our Pulitzers.

Time for my first real thought, I think for the most part, the intentions of occupy wall street were as first legitimate and their beliefs were actually pretty good that we need to change our system of government and that government and corporations need to be held accountable for their actions.

But the movement got people involved who were just fucking loser shit retards, and it ruined it.

But other than that I really don't care because as long as I can sit on my ass and play video games, I'll continue to be a loser who won't try to stand for something bigger than myself.

all very valid points, the longer occupy shit goes on the more officers make, but also means the city will have to cut in the future since they overspent

What does that mean? Are we supposed to take one characteristic of a person, let's say their financial situation, and join together against others who do clearly fit the profile?

What if the white were to rise up and say "We are the 75%"?

CLGC’s memo proposes that the ABA pay CLGC $850,000 to conduct “opposition research” on Occupy Wall Street in order to construct “negative narratives” about the protests and allied politicians. The memo also asserts that Democratic victories in 2012 would be detrimental for Wall Street and targets specific races in which it says Wall Street would benefit by electing Republicans instead.

According to the memo, if Democrats embrace OWS, “This would mean more than just short-term political discomfort for Wall Street. … It has the potential to have very long-lasting political, policy and financial impacts on the companies in the center of the bullseye.”
