Nothing since...which I am fairly sure is bullshit

its because its cross country, no matter how long ago it hit portland its clearly scanned till the night before it is due to be delivered
and yes, that is still more accurate and consistent than fedex. usps is laughable at tracking.

the usps does clearly specialize in package shipping, no matter how they try. ups is superior because of the information generation and the solid consistency. i have to assume the usps is clearly as good on the information-side of things because of the capital investment needed to buy every driver a hand-held device.

what has really fucked the usps are two things. having to fund 70 years of health care in ten years, and the internet. i dont have to mail my bills, i pay them electronically. they missed the boat on being paypal. that really should have been them, offering guaranteed secure electron transmissions.

too bad soo sad

dont bother with the response or the true meaning to the comment anyway, just use the quote out of context whenever possible

i've come to the realization joe, over that past few years, that if i wanna be in this industry (academic research) i better start becoming a big fat liberal like everyone else. liberals increase spending which increases the number research grants that pay my salary.

just cant get on board the crazy train just yet but give it time, maybe i will

dont worry, the fruits of your labors will be "bought" by some company and they will profit, and you can still toot the conservative-hype of private business etc
