John Arch and Fates Warning made some awesome metal in the 80s and their influence/similarities with Dream Theater are quite apparent. Kevin Moore joined the band after he left DT, though that was very different from early FW. Mike Portnoy also filled in for them once or twice. Thought you'd enjoy this.
