Went to see dark knight rises. Halfway through the fire alarm goes off. People freaked the fuck out.

I want my money back.

Standing outside with everyone now. No visible signs of actual fire but trucks are here.

don't you think that was overreaction on shootings the other day?
like someone else said they went to the movie and was on the edge all the time
how can you allow one incident have such impact on your lives? like what are the odds something even remotely similar would happened to you?
generally i wanted to say that you folks over there tend to overreact a lot

I think it's human nature to be primed for reaction when something grave happened in a similar environment so recently. I wasn't worried and nobody panicked or anything but there was some serious worry going through the crowd for the first few seconds.

I've never seen a fire alarm go off during a movie before so :donno:

you guys have to realize that jp.'s education is forced by his parents. he doesn't have real personal ambitions (liberal arts). so taking a year off to reflect and address doubts is normal.
