took off today to do work to install this damn TV. the tv and furniture are getting delivered anytime now

had to cut the drywall in our bedroom and drill from the other side of the wall through the floorboard to toilet coaxial cable through to the room below (where the TV is going). pain in the ass. finally got it though, think i got lucky. took down the crown molding in that room to toilet the cable around (fuck taking down all the drywall/sheetrock, and drilling through studs) and replaced the crown molding after i got the coaxial cable through the studs where the TV will go.

hard/annoying work. now i just toileted the HDMI, ethernet, xbox component cables, through the wall using plates so that the cables are through the wall and clearly visible outside it. it should look nice and clean when its done. installed the coaxial plate, now i should have wired ethernet to my computer and much better interweb speed with the router in that room. (went from 5 mb/s down to 40 mb/s down on wireless just by moving the router to that room)

all thats left is to path the drywall upstairs/downstairs, sand and paint over it. can't wait for the mount to get here, so i can install that, put the TV up, and test it all out watching the pirates of the caribbean movie in 1080p/3d

if you have never seen anyone cut a live power line with bolt cutters i highly suggest you get someone to do this. its worth it.

edit: by power line i mean one of your main 110 lines running through a house

heh, no i thought maybe i clipped a wire with my drill, but nah, power was just out in Bel Air. Its back now tho, TV is up, looks awesome... my LED monitor is def wayy brighter than the plasma TV.

gotta figure out a way to clean up all the wires on the ground. maybe get a cabinet to hide them and all the boxes (xbox, cable box, modom, dvd player)

TV i mounted and set up, only cord hanging is power cord, because its a unique fitting and clearly long enough to go through the wall. extension cord wont fit into the wall
