For PC use? Got the bright green Razer headphones/mic, things are amazing. Like $80.

this is the set that a lot of ppl reccomend for gaming, music, and anything with good strong bass. prob great for metal because of that. no mic, but its probably better to just buy some cheap desktop mic for 10 bucks anyway. most headphones that include mics are either built for use with your iphone or xbox, clearly good sound quality

On a serious note, if you get a wireless pair make sure you can plug them in and still wear them ofc.

i have some turtle beach wireless ones. i regret buying them... i wish i would have bought the audiotechnicas and a desktop mic for the same price. the fake 5.1 doesnt work, and the wireless is more annoying than useful (connection dies sometimes, batteries die eventually)

I'm late to the party but the Grado-SR80i are $99 and sound really fucking good for metal. Great responsiveness, meaning they're also excellent for reproducing a metal band yelling in your ears while you're lifting.

no because i kind of regret purchasing them. its nice they work with xbox, but the wireless crackles and cuts in and out a lot. also my ears get sweaty wearing them, and the fake 5.1 dolby doesnt work that well

ive had 2 different wireless headsets. one the bluetooth sucked ass, the logitecs are great. cracking and popping has clearly been an issue. unless dan gets a lemon im certain he will like them.
